As Summer ends, fall approaches and so does Walt Disney World’s International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot in Orlando, Florida. This annual festival celebrates foods, cultures and more from countries around the world. The 23rd food and wine festival will run form August 30 to November 12 and is the perfect chance to come and experience all the excitement. There are some new events, guests and meals in store for the 2018 International Food and Wine Festival. New foods have been added to the menu by award winning chefs and of course there are some returning fan favorites. New items include the Brunswick Slider a slow braised beef brisket with Horseradish cream, crispy friend onions on a Potato Roll, served with a side of pickled vegetables.
There is also a Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter Vinaigerette, parmesan cheese and pumpkin seeds being served at the Wine and Dine Studio. At Flavors from Fire they are serving up Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak, smoked Corn Cake and pickeled vegetable slaw. Guests will also be able to meat some celebrity chefs and see them in action. Chefs include Brian Collaro, Dan Pashman, John Rivers, Juliana Evans, Justin Wangler, Mike Kravanis, Mike Ward, Richard Blias, Sheldon Simeon and Tiffani Thiessen.
Little ones will have a blast exploring at playgrounds designed just for them. Friday and Saturday evenings are made a little more special with interactive atmospheres were they can dance and play with a rotating cast of Disney Characters. There will also be guests form Radio Disney with exclusive concerts. Junior Chef Kitchen allows children to become chefs. They will get to eat the meals they prepare at this family friendly experience. This is located in the Festival Center on Sundays.
There is also Remy’s Ratatouille Hide ‘n’ Squeak Scavenger Hunt, this will have guests searching for Remy all around the festival as he hides in all new locations. Guests can purchase their maps at multiple locations around the park and begin their quest.
