It’s that time of year again for Epcot’s Annual International Food and Wine Festival. Guests can experience all the culture, cuisine and sounds from around the globe from August 31 through November 13. This special event takes place at Disney’s Epcot theme park and is full of Disney magic! Feast on delicious specialties from over 35 kiosks each one featuring food from countries around the world. The cuisines are just the beginning as you make your way around the World Showcase!
New for 2017!
Epcot celebrates the 35th year with a tribute to the past, present and future. Head to the Odyssey Pavilion to rediscover favorite like chilled scotch egg wrapped in sausage served with mustard sauce or a zesty cheeseburger and cheddar cheese macaroni sandwich. Other blasts from the past include L’Orange Cotton Candy: a mixture of lime and orange cotton candy and Bright Horizons: sprite with multi-flavored Boba pearls.
Epcot is serving up the crème de la crème this year with first time culinary events with guest chefs, signature meals and more. It is a treat for all connoisseurs and food lovers! ABC Television Network’s the CHEW broadcasts live from Epcot on Wednesday through Friday October 4-6. Get ready for a crash course in the culinary arts and celebrate everything food and wine with this Emmy Award winning show.
A new stop to add to your list is Active Eats. This venue offers action packed options sure to please your palate. Loaded Mac and Cheese with Nueske’s Pepper bacon, cheddar cheese, peppers and green onion is one item you must try along with Roasted Verlasso Salmon with Quinoa Salad and Arugula Chimichurri.
Don’t forget dessert, it is a featured Sweet Avocado Crema with Strawberries, yellow cake and tortilla streusel. Other stops include Africa, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hawaii, India, Ireland and more. Make sure to grab one of the festival’s passports to mark off all your stops and eats it is a great way to see where you have been and makes a great souvenir to take home and share.
There will also be craft beers, wines and drinks from around the world to sample as well. Each kiosk will feature a drink or beverage unique to that country. There will also be local craft beers featured throughout the festival perfect for sipping while you travel through the world showcase.
