On your cake marks… get set… DECORATE!
Cake artists from around the globe will compete for top honors in this exhilarating day-long challenge. On Friday, teams of professional cake artists will go rolling pin-to-pin in this epic competition to showcase their talent by creating stunning masterpieces before a passionate crowd of cake lovers.
Given the theme, “homeland,” ten teams of two, each representing their own country, will have seven hours to create a tiered or sculptured cake depicting their country of origin made of totally edible products!
This international challenge is open to each team’s artistic interpretation of “homeland” and with a minimum height of 36-inches, the sky’s the limit for these competitors!
Meet & Greet with the Teams Saturday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Here’s your chance to meet the challengers and winning team! Ask them about their inspiration, techniques, and flavor profile in front of their very own competition kitchens. Don’t forget to snap a photo, too!

The Americas Cake & Sugarcraft Fair Cake Competition will be a supreme display of cakes created by some of the world’s most talented cake artists and decorators.
On Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 a panel of revered cake connoisseurs will judge these incredible pieces and award the best of the best. All cakes will remain on display through the duration of the show.
This exciting competition will act as a learning experience for all and serve as an opportunity for competitors to showcase their talents and creativity, test their skills, and step out of their comfort zones with new techniques.

Competitors will be divided into four categories:
Professional (cake artists, pastry chefs), Open (cake decorators and intermediate-level), and Beginner (hobbyists)
