Frequently asked questions

Meeting your driver, paying, tipping and cancelling: how a ride with us works, start to finish.

At the airport

How will I find my driver at Orlando airport?

Your driver will hold a professionally made sign with our name, “Tiffany Towncar”, and your name.

My flight is delayed. Will I pay for the extra time?

No. But please try to call our toll-free number to let our reservations center know about the delay.

My flight was cancelled. Will I pay for the transfer?

No. When we check your flight with the airline and learn it was cancelled, you will not be billed.

If your flight was not cancelled and you didn’t arrive in Orlando or tell us, we reserve the right to bill a full one-way fare.

How long is the drive from the airport?

International Drive20–25 min

Times depend on traffic and where your hotel is.

Cruises & Port Canaveral

Can you take us to our cruise at Port Canaveral?

Yes. We drive you from either Orlando airport (MCO or Sanford) or your Orlando-area hotel straight to your ship’s terminal at Port Canaveral, in a private vehicle reserved for your party alone.

When your cruise is over, your driver will pick you up at the port and bring you back to your hotel or the airport. Your driver loads and unloads your bags, and our roomy vehicles have space for the whole family and all your luggage.

Which airport should I fly into for a cruise from Port Canaveral?

Orlando International (MCO) is usually the easier choice: it has the most flights, and the port is about 45 miles away, roughly a 45-minute drive.

Orlando Sanford (SFB) works well if your airline flies there. It’s about 60 miles from the port, roughly an hour to an hour and 15 minutes.

We have a flat rate from both airports to the port, shown before you book. Drive times are estimates: traffic and busy cruise days can add to them. For the routes and each terminal’s exit, see the Port Authority’s directions to the port (opens in a new tab).

Should I arrive the night before my cruise?

We recommend it. Flying in a day early means a delayed or cancelled flight won’t make you miss the ship, and you start your cruise rested.

Many cruisers spend the night near the port, in Cocoa Beach or Cape Canaveral. These hotels run a shuttle to the cruise terminals. Some include it in a stay-and-cruise or parking package and others charge a small fee, so ask the hotel when you book:

  • Courtyard by Marriott Cocoa Beach
  • Best Western Cocoa Beach
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cocoa Beach
  • La Quinta Inn Cocoa Beach
  • Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach
  • Radisson Resort at the Port, Cape Canaveral
  • Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Canaveral
  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Cape Canaveral–Cocoa Beach
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach

Call us and we’ll drive you from the airport to your hotel the night before, or to the ship in the morning.

Can I book the ride to the ship and back together?

Yes. Choose Round trip when you book. The first ride takes you to your ship on sailing day; the return picks you up at the port when your cruise ends and takes you to the airport or your hotel.

For the return, choose a pickup time a little after your ship’s disembarkation time (your cruise line tells you when you can leave the ship, usually in the morning), and give us your ship’s terminal so your driver is at the right one. If you’re flying home that day, add your departing flight too.

Booking & payment

What forms of payment do you accept?

Mastercard, Visa, Discover, AMEX and cash.

Do I pay when I book?

By card: no, your card is charged the full fare on the day of your trip.

By cash or traveler’s checks: you pay the driver when you arrive at the airport, in full for your whole trip, one way or round trip.

I’m paying cash. Do you still need my card?

Yes. Every reservation needs card details, but we won’t charge your card if you pay cash.

I’d rather not enter my card online.

Everything you enter in our reservations form is encrypted. If you prefer, call us toll free, 24/7, and give your card to a live reservations agent.

Will I get a confirmation number?

Yes, when you make your reservation.

Do I need to confirm my reservation?

No, once you’ve given us your details. It’s still a good idea to call at least 24 hours before you land, just to be safe.

If I pay the driver cash, do I get a receipt?

Yes. The driver gives you a pre-paid voucher for your return trip to the airport. Ask for a receipt for business expenses, too; we can also email cash receipts.

Tips & fees

Is the tip included? How much should I tip?

Fares on this site don’t include the tip. We recommend 20% of the fare.

Should I tip for the return trip up front?

No, since you might not have the same driver on the way back.

Is there a service fee?

No, there’s no service fee. The one fee we may charge is $250 for any mess or accident involving bodily fluids, charged to the card on file.

Cancelling & no-shows

How much notice do I need to cancel?

48 hours before you arrive in Orlando, 72 hours if you’re arriving at an airport outside Orlando, and 7 days for any charter.

Once we accept your reservation we hold a specific vehicle for you and won’t book it for anyone else.

What if I miss my flight or don’t show up?

Call and cancel at least 48 hours before you arrive at the airport. If you don’t, we reserve the right to charge the full fare.

Charters & local trips

Can you take me from my hotel to Disney or other attractions?

Yes. Call us to arrange it.

Do I need a rental car at a Disney hotel?

Not really. Disney World runs its own free transportation for hotel guests across the whole resort.

Can I split my charter hours through the day?

No. Charter hours run back to back and can’t be split up.

Can I take a chartered vehicle out of town?

Yes, at a higher rate than in-town charters. Tell us when you book. A charter booked at in-town rates can’t leave town, so if part of it will be out of town, say so when you reserve.

After your ride

I left something in the vehicle. What do I do?

Call us right away. We’ll do our best to find it and let you know straight away to arrange pickup or delivery, though we aren’t responsible for items left in our vehicles. We may charge a small fee to bring them to your hotel.

Can I ask for a different driver on my return trip?

Absolutely. Please tell us why, so we can follow up and keep improving our drivers’ training.

Still have a question?

A real person answers, day or night.
